Getting started
Download Krateo and add your first purchase manually. There's no bank required to start: log an expense, tag a category, and Krateo begins building your Safe-to-Spend number right away.
Connecting a bank (optional)
If you'd rather not type every transaction, connect a bank or credit card from Settings › Institutions & sync. It's optional, never required, and you can disconnect at any time.
Understanding Safe-to-Spend
Safe-to-Spend is the one number that matters: what's actually free to spend today, after bills, goals, and the rest of your pay period. It updates every time you log something new.
Using Gift mode
Mark any purchase as a gift while you log it, and it stays out of your partner's view of the shared ledger until the reveal date you choose.
Family & kid roles
Add household members from Settings and assign a role: owner, member, or kid. Kids see their own allowance and spending, never the full household ledger.
Tax Smart & exporting
Tag a purchase as tax-relevant the moment you log it. When you're ready, export your tagged transactions in one file for your records or your tax professional.
Subscription Watch & Bill Watch
Krateo flags recurring charges you never meant to start (Subscription Watch) and bills you're tracking that haven't landed on time (Bill Watch), so quiet charges get noticed.
Delete anytime, for real
One tap in Settings removes your account, and everything in it. Not archived, not hidden: really, completely gone.
Privacy and safety matter
When you connect a bank or credit card, the sync happens through your institution's own secure portal: Krateo never sees or stores your banking password. We don't sell your data or share it with advertisers, ever. And if you ever change your mind, deleting your account in Settings really does remove everything.
